Reviews and Ratings
The hotel room was bigger than expected, but the standard was poor with a cracked sink and broken floor tiles in the bathroom. The dated rooms can get very warm, so bring earplugs if you need to keep the windows open.
The hotel has a convenient location, close to the train station and city center. The rooms could use some updates and the lack of a shower was inconvenient, but the hotel reflects a charming Chester theme. The service was friendly, although check-out took longer than expected. The dining experience was subpar, with breakfast below standard, but the hotel offered sweet biscuits. A good choice for a short stay in Chester.
Originally booked at Chester Station but transferred to The Queen, a fantastic hotel full of history. The rooms are not very big and a little outdated in look compared to a Premier Inn room, but the hotel offers great historical charm. The friendly and polite staff at the Best Western just over the road from the train station really helped us, especially when there was no record of our booking.
